You’re
stopped at a red light. The car in front hasn’t moved for fifteen
seconds after the light turns green. You blast your
horn, and glare at the driver as you pass by. What if that person had
suffered chest pain, and just needed some recovery time? If you found
that out afterwards, how would you feel?
When
you don’t act impulsively, and you don’t act before knowing all the
facts, you show composure and patience. Except in critical situations,
take time to pause before reacting. This brings out beauty in your soul,
and in turn you are given a blessing: The pleasure and benefit of finding valuable extra time.
