Being too focused on a personal goal or ideal, whether it’s money, fame, politics or religion, can make you blind to the reality around you. Being self-centered and doing what you think is right, attaining your goal might come at a terrible expense to others.
All actions and events do not revolve around your existence, but your actions do become part of a greater existence. By valuing perspectives other than your own, you can reach your goals while being in harmony with the life around you. After all, you are a wonderful part of this existence.
Balance….
It seems to always connect to balance…moderation, followed by movement.
My plate has been rather full, which is a reoccurring theme in my life. Although the goals (on my plate) are typically for others’ interests, it may come off to some who vie for my attention as selfish or self-centered at times–even tho the “plate” has little on it directly for me.
