On Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas and any other holiday of the season, we find time to be thankful and to rejoice. And why not? We love those days.
We should do that every day, as each day is a celebration of life.

Words are so powerful that they can act as a balm or as an acid. When someone says something to you, your mind is so active that it can respond immediately. This may cause you to use words which can sometimes injure another… or you.
You have a gift when you can wait, or even pause, before offering a response. Why? It is not your mind being hesitant. It is your soul asking the Eternal, “Please give me guidance to say the right thing.”
Each day brings a new light being shone on you. Therefore, do something good every day. To not do so is like sleeping through an entire day and waking up the next day. You would have lost a slice of your life, and your purpose for living it.
Never think lowly of yourself, or others will think of you that way.
No one is good at everything, but we are all good at something. If you failed in a task, don’t let it get you so down that your spirit is suppressed. No one goes through life without making mistakes… and you will make more. It’s okay to feel disappointment when you blunder, but then move on.
Each of us has many good qualities, and so do you. When you feel blue, focus on the natural abilities which have been given to you. Then feel good about yourself knowing what they are.
Never, ever, take any aspect of your life for granted. Something new and different is coming.
Never, ever, take any aspect of your life for granted. We mustn’t get so overwhelmed from the bad in our life that we cannot function properly… for it will pass And we should let our heart and soul enjoy the good as much as we can and for all that it is worth… for it too shall pass.
Too often media advertises how important our physical appearance should be: Amazing abs, better butts, bigger breasts, removing wrinkles, smoother skin… the list seems endless.
Once a society tends to ignore a person’s spirituality and instead looks primarily on a person’s physical components, that society is becoming a physically competitive but spiritually insecure world.
This is not necessarily all bad. Life is given to survival of the fittest, and therefore all of creation is attracted to certain physical aspects of those who might be considered for mates. This is critical in order for a species to endure.
However, our souls are what make us unique. We can’t compete with the soul of another as we can with their body, and it is the connection with another soul which allows us to endure spiritually. Along with intellect and wisdom, it is our spiritual connection which will allow man to survive in this and other worlds.
To make changes in your life requires effort, sometimes a great deal of it. Quick fixes rarely work.
Each year you should take a spiritual inventory. Get rid of those things which no longer have value so that you can make more room in your spiritual warehouse. Then do what it takes to acquire those new spiritual possessions which you really want to have. Your soul will enjoy the rewards from your labor.
We are free to choose the paths which we wish to go down, and our choices determine whether we have good or bad outcomes. We may have people or situations exert great influence on our decisions, but the final decisions are ultimately ours. We cannot blame anyone else for a negative outcome of a decision, as we consciously made that decision of our own accord. We should repent if we choose wrongly, as we will be held accountable sooner or later.
Your greatest gift is the gift of life, and choice is the most important element of that gift. Therefore, your life should be led with vitality and judiciousness. Living a passive life is not living life. Controlling your life and determining its outcomes is the meaning of life. Your ability to choose gives you a feeling of empowerment. After all, don’t you feel better after making a decision?
If you believe in God, know that you are not glorifying God if you go about shouting, “Praise the Lord!” like a cheerleader, but then go about your life acting like a jerk.
