When you have a really good friend, the same soul dwells in both of you.

You may have doubted the existence of God at some point, and you still might. When you question His presence, you probably think your soul does as well. But your soul knows that God does exist, and that it is always connected to Him.

During good times you may feel fine existing in a shell that only includes you and the people and things which are meaningful to you. Yet just before your time has come to leave for a better world, you may break out of that shell. A new light will then envelop you as you connect with your soul. Then you will realize there is an Omnipotent One that has always looked over you and loved you. You may not have seen Him, but He always saw you.

He has been your greatest supporter, always cheering you on. And when you leave this world and your soul returns to its Creator, you will reach out and He will be there for you – as He always has.

In each day of your life, make it a priority to listen to some music, read a little poetry or some mesmerizing writing, and appreciate some fine art. This will ensure that your worldly matters do not extinguish the splendor of the spirit which is embedded in your soul.

Make an effort to be as generous as you can. If you have ever been in need, you know the value of receiving help. Of greater importance, you have come to understand the enchantment of giving.

Why should we be looking for new wisdom when we don’t cherish the old? The foresight of our sages can be as new and fresh as if it were given to us today.

The Creator renews His kindness with continuous acts of creation. Therefore we don’t live in an old world because it changes daily into something new. So there is no old and new – it’s all new.

When you wake up tomorrow, realize you’re not old. You’re new!
