If a good and loving friend hurts you, think of that person as you would a surgeon. That wound was not inflicted to stick something sharp into you. It was an effort to remove something from you which your caring friend thought was unhealthy.

Many beyond their early teens think they’re smart enough to make their own decisions. They don’t listen to elders as they want to experience things on their own. They say times are different now. We said the same thing when we were that age.

Still, we should always be there for our children. Why? Because the Almighty has always been there for us. So just smile on the younger generation and accept that stage in their lives, just as the Omniscient One did for us. It too shall pass.
