Being too focused on a personal goal or ideal, whether it’s money, fame, politics or religion, can make you blind to the reality around you.  Being self-centered and doing what you think is right, attaining your goal might come at a terrible expense to others.

All actions and events do not revolve around your existence, but your actions do become part of a greater existence.  By valuing perspectives other than your own,  you can reach your goals while being in harmony with the life around you.  After all, you are a wonderful part of this existence.     

The story of the Three Little Pigs reminds us to build our home from the best materials so it can be strong.  And since our body is our spiritual home, the same lesson applies.  When we eat healthy food (bricks), our body is stronger.  When we eat unhealthy food (straw and sticks) our spiritual home is weaker.

Don’t just feed your appetite.  When you eat well for an extended period of time, you feel as if you have more energy.  It is not your body making you feel like that.  It is your spirituality emanating from inside of you that you feel. 

Are you feeling blue or sluggish?  Do you want to feel more spiritual?  Don’t let negative energy and bad karma (the big, bad wolf) blow your spiritual home down.  Eat well for the next few days.  You will love how you feel. 

Don’t ever regret feeling shame.  You can only feel shame when you have some humility.  Humility helps your conscience to prevent you from doing inappropriate things.  Your soul will then support your conscience to further more good deeds.  Your humility is a gateway to your soul.  

If your good deeds frequently seem to go unappreciated, it doesn’t matter.  They are the right things to do.  This is what makes you a good person. 

Have you ever questioned why God could allow something bad to happen to someone good?  Or wondered why, as a good person, certain events which seem dire are happening to you?  Just focus on your purpose in life through your actions, and leave certain mysteries in life to God.  Answers will come later, or in the World to Come.

You should have no compunction about feeling emotional and passionate about those convictions which are precious to you. If you should lose those feelings, your character and spirit will suffer.  Be proud of your passion.  It defines you.
