“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.”
Most
children’s sayings are embedded in truth, but this one is a fallacy.
Bones break, but they eventually heal. But names can cause emotional wounds
which may never completely heal.
Be careful, especially when emotional, not to hurt someone
with vicious words aimed at them. These words become a weapon,
and aiming a weapon at someone for no rational reason is sinful.

Most of you realize there’s no such thing as coincidence, only destiny. When you see or hear of something or someone in need or in trouble, remember: You wouldn’t know about it unless you were meant to help.
Success and failure each serve as a way to elevate our spirituality. Success is good for the soul when we enjoy it for today, not tomorrow. Failure works the same way. We may feel bad today, but tomorrow will bring a new day.
Inside wise King Solomon’s ring were the words, “This too shall pass”. They reminded him that whether he is experiencing a joyous time or a horrific one, it will soon become a memory. Your soul knows that too.
We were created to experience both success and failure so our spirit and our life may grow. Pleasant or bad, yesterday is a memory. Life means growth, so today make growth a priority.
Looking at accomplishments and experiences brings satisfaction, but mainly for our ego. Reminiscing or bragging only makes us a legend in our own mind.
Doing something today which can make a difference tomorrow brings hope. It energizes us in excitement and anticipation for what might be! Our body, mind, and spirit become beautifully synchronized in such behavior.
There’s a good reason why we don’t have eyes in the back of our head. We are meant to look forward to the future, not behind us at the past.
