Concentrate on a single element of your being, either negative (like anger or procrastination) or positive (like kindness or sense of humor).
Set your goal to minimize the negative trait or maximize the positive one.Take up to an hour a week to contemplate on only that one element to understand how it affects you and others.
You’ll discover less distress in your life, more joy, and spiritual growth. It will work wonders.
Many of us don’t want change – just keep things the way they are and be content with what we have. But we can’t grow, on any level, unless we change.
Welcome change as you would a loved one. Shed any doubt and embrace today as an opportunity to do something new. You will grow, and the All-Knowing will smile upon you.
Nothing in the world exists without spiritual connectivity. Everything is sustained by the holiness manifested from that, which is an utterance only disclosed from The Holy.
May you come to understand the Divine reason hidden there. Amen.
We don’t live in the Garden of Eden. There are many bad situations and difficult people to deal with in your Garden of Life. Yet among all the thorny weeds, you remain a fragrant rose.
If you are all alone, your soul will suffer poverty. As long as you have someone in your life you can turn to, you will never be truly poor.
If you believe you will stand before the Almighty after this life, you might have a conversation similar to this:
You: Why did you allow ______ (fill in the blank) to happen?
The Almighty: Why didn’t you do something about it?
You: Because you didn’t.
The Almighty: You just answered your own question.
We are instruments of the Holy. If you watch something bad happen and pray for Divine intervention, you are not acknowledging your purpose in life – to try and stop those things from happening.
When you do something for someone, a reward might be nice – if only a word or two of appreciation. But when you do something for one you love, the gratification you get is your reward. And the more you do for her/him/it, the deeper your love and more intimate your spiritual connection. How wondrous is the beauty, depth and joy of love!
All things and events have a spiritual effect, and anger is no exception. Anger can be compared to a large California wildfire: Once it gets out of control, containing it is extremely difficult.
Anger is a natural feeling, so you must use all your resources to master it. If you don’t, it can run out of control and its flames will consume you. And for every moment you are angry, you lose a moment of joy.
If you believe in a higher power, know that you are definitely not glorifying the Almighty if you go about spouting catchphrases like, “Praise the Lord!”, but then go about your life acting like a goon.
If you offer your heartfelt love to the Blessed One, it will be accepted as if it were sweeter than a dripping honeycomb and more fragrant than a prized rose.
