Many people I speak with complain and worry about the negative energy or bad karma they feel in our society today. However, a shift in the balance of spiritual power can change things over time. When more of us join together to rise in our spiritual capacity, and not speak bitterly of those whose beliefs are different from ours, we can and will displace these bad vibrations with good ones.

May this day come in our lifetime. We will then realize that heaven is here on earth.

The most precious metal – gold – is hidden. It can only be found by strenuous digging in the ground or searching diligently through many rocks in a stream. It’s not easy work, but when it is discovered there is much elation and joy, as the person who found it will be rich.

God is like gold. He is hidden, and it is not easy work to find Him. But when you discover Him you will have much elation and joy, for you will be rich.

All of us are masters of our own destiny, either in general or with something specific. Our destiny is determined by our own actions and efforts more than what others do. The level we find ourselves at is the level for which we have endeavored. This is where we have placed ourselves. There is positive energy in this, as where you are is where you are meant to be.

Sometimes we may feel adverse energy coming from others because of where or who we are. That is their problem – as long as they are not trying to harm us in some way. There is no benefit in having that kind of energy affect us.

Life has so much joy to offer when we are content with where we are. We can find fulfillment in that, and savor what our lives bring to us.

To keep your spirituality you must keep your sense of humor. This includes laughing at what you don’t have, even if you feel deep inside that you ought to have it.

You are special in a very different way from all others. You have unique qualities, either individually or in very exceptional combinations. Admire someone else, but don’t aspire to be like someone else. That would be a waste of who you are and what your future might hold for you and the rest of us.

Bad people are selfish. Good people are selfless. You must look after your self, but you are in good shape if you act “less” a lot more than you act “ish”.

A bunch of you decide to get together and climb a mountain. You meet at the base, look towards the top (which is your objective), and decide on which is the best route to climb the mountain. You decide on the path which looks to have the easiest means of ascent, and therefore the least strenuous.

But some decide they don’t want to hike up the same path you want to take. They prefer to take another path, a path which they think looks to have more flora and fauna along the way. Yet another small group decides to take the steepest means of ascent. They believe it will present the greatest challenge and therefore the greatest satisfaction. And still another group decides to hike around to the other side of the mountain, the side which cannot be seen at the present time, and see what challenges and opportunities await them there.

You are a little unhappy that you are all not taking the same way to the top. Yet you do what is right, you wish them all luck and then your group begins the ascent while the other groups get started on theirs.

Eventually you and your group arrive at the top of the mountain and experience all its glory. After a while you notice that all the other groups have also made it to the top, and you each have had different experiences along the way. But the main objective had been reached by all, that being experiencing the joy, satisfaction and elation of the journey and reaching the destination.

The mountain is the way to reach the highest spiritual experience of your life. It doesn’t matter which way you choose to climb it, the purpose it to ascend to the top. Many people get there, many through different paths. There is not one path, no better path, no wrong path. As long as you or someone else makes it to the top, you are all entitled to the reward of getting there.

If you feel your path is the right path, keep on it and don’t let anyone convince you to deviate. After all, it is your path. If your path doesn’t appear to take you to the top, then be open to changing your course. The joy of reaching your destination awaits you.

The way you drive can be an insight into your spirituality. Whether running late or stuck in a traffic jam, how you react comes from your inner self. You can drive aggressively or treat those around you with courtesy and decency. The latter exposes your self control and consideration of others. It shows your soul can restrain your negative emotions and be in a good place spiritually even when you aren’t physically. How’s your driving?

Whatever you set out to do, do it right. Whether it’s a project, a good deed, your job, your relationships with others or your prayers, do it right. This is your life. It is who you are and how you will be defined. Live it right and you will merit lasting gratitude and love from others as well as from the Energy of the Universe. Think how much that could mean to you now and for evermore.

You don’t have to have an extraordinary gift in order for your life to be meaningful. If you love and have common sense, you won’t need anything else.
